Wilsons recalls cold pressed dog food because of the presence of salmonella

Republic of Munchery Ltd (Wilsons Pet Food) recalled ten Wilsons cold pressed dog food products because of the presence of salmonella. Salmonella is a bacterium that can cause illness in humans and animals; the products could carry a risk through direct handling and via surfaces, and transmission to humans in the home.

Affected products: Wilsons Cold Pressed Haggis, Succulent Chicken, Grass Fed Lamb, Clear Water Salmon, Farmhouse Turkey and Duck, Highland Venison and Trout, Wild White Fish, and Working Dog Beef, Chicken and Pork. The notice specifies affected best-before/use-by date ranges for each product rather than batch codes (December 2022 through February/March 2023).

Owners were advised not to feed the affected products and to follow the point-of-sale notice guidance on returns.
