Sneyd's Wonderfeeds Ltd recalled three Wonderdog dry dog food products because of the presence of salmonella. Salmonella is a bacterium that can cause illness in humans and animals; the product could carry a risk through direct handling and via surfaces, and transmission to humans in the home.
Affected products: Wonderdog Active Light 15kg (batches 57 and 58); Wonderdog Special 15kg (all batches from 1383 through to 1408); Wonderdog Original 15kg (all batches from 3239 through to 3264). Best-before dates range from December 2022 to February 2023.
Owners were advised not to feed the affected batches and to follow the point-of-sale notice guidance on returns.
