Natural Instinct recalled several raw products containing duck because salmonella had been found in the products. In humans, symptoms caused by salmonella usually include fever, diarrhoea and abdominal cramps. Infected animals may not necessarily display signs of illness, but symptoms can include diarrhoea.
Affected products: Working Dog Duck (1kg and 2x500g), Pure Duck (1kg and 2x500g), Working Dog Puppy (1kg and 2x500g), Duck Carcass (pack of 2) and Duck Necks (pack of 6), with affected use-by dates from 8 January 2022 through to 18 March 2022 depending on the product.
Owners were advised not to feed the affected products, to follow hygiene guidance when handling raw pet food, and to contact the business for a refund.
